Seidenberg Enrolls 14 IBM India Students

Fourteen IBM India employees are pursuing an M.S. in Computer Science under a newly formed partnership between the University and the corporation.  The students, who are scattered all over India, take classes online along with their counterparts in the U.S. and are expected to complete their degrees in five semesters.

Professor Narayan Murthy, chair of the computer science department in Westchester, initiated the partnership and is serving as the program’s director.  Professor Lixin Tao,  also from the computer science department, travelled to Bangalore in early September to greet the students and conduct an orientation.

This is the second time the school has offered an online graduate degree program in India.  The first was for 15 employees of AOL India who were awarded M.S. in Internet Technology degrees in 2010.
