For the second consecutive year, Jay Thomas, an online student in Seidenberg’s NACTEL program for telecommunications workers, competed in IBM’s Master the Mainframe Contest. This year he completed the “extremely difficult and time-consuming” Part 3 and placed 2nd in a field of over 3,500 competitors.
He also received a $500 IBM Destination z Scholarship awarded to students studying computing or related disciplines in order to advance their mainframe computing capabilities.
