Gary C. Butler, president and CEO of Automatic Data Processing, Inc. (ADP), will be honored for his outstanding leadership and numerous contributions to the field of information technology at the upcoming Leadership and Service in Technology (LST) Award Reception sponsored by the Seidenberg School. The reception, an annual event, is scheduled for Wednesday, June 22, and will once again be held at the midtown headquarters of PricewaterhouseCoopers.
A panel discussion, focusing on the emerging field of “cloud computing” technology, will also be featured. Panelists include Laura Wallace, general manager, NY Metro District, Microsoft; David McQueeney, vice president, software, IBM Research; Michael Capone ’93, CIO, ADP; and Matthew Knell ’00, director, social media, AOL.
As an added attraction, there will be a special demonstration led by IBM’s Watson of Jeopardy! fame.
The LST event, which generally draws a crowd of over 200 IT professionals, serves as the school’s primary fund-raiser. Proceeds from the event are used to support programs and provide scholarships for promising students in need. Steven Caporale (BS ’86) and Larry Perlstein (BBA ’80, MBA ’93), both Pace alumni and members of the Seidenberg School’s Advisory Board, are serving as this year’s co-chairs.
