Join us for a traditional Hindu celebration on November 6 at Pace University’s Seidenberg School of Computer Science and Information Systems – New York City campus.
On Tuesday, Nov. 6, the Seidenberg School will be hosting a celebration of Diwali, the festival of lights. Although Diwali itself takes place on November 7, we are holding this event the day before as there are no classes on Wednesday (thanks, Diwali!). Join us to experience the cultural festival through the Seidenberg community’s lens. You can create and decorate your very own Diwali lantern, which we will then light in a traditional ceremony.
We will also have a special presentation from grad student Jai Dengle about the significance of the day, demonstrating how Diwali is celebrated in India—where the holiday is originally from. There will also be plenty of Indian food for you to enjoy, which is free as always.
The festivities will begin at 3:30pm at Seidenberg School’s NYC location, 163 William Street, second floor. All Pace community members are welcome!
Register here to celebrate Diwali with Seidenberg next Tuesday afternoon!
